                                                   How to Repair White Lines in Posterior Composites

Ceramic/Porcelain Primer White lines happen to everyone eventually. The problem is that

                                                   they turn into brown lines over time and can degrade a
                                                   restoration. This is how to repair them.
                                                   The first figure shows a posterior resin composite with white line
                                                   margins. The restoration is dried thoroughly. Interface is mixed

 White Lines and then applied to the restorations and rubbed into the white
                                                   line until it disappears. Then the Interface is dried completely and
          GONE! thoroughly. Surpass 2 is then applied and dried and then
                                                   Surpass 3 is applied and thinned out as much as possible and
                                                   light-cured. If the white line defect is large enough that an
                                                   opening is perceived, apply a little flowable composite to the area
                                                   and light-cure. Adjust occlusion if necessary. Figure 2 shows the
                                                   completed repair. The third figure shows the restoration at one
                                                   year recall. The repair has been successful.
