In order to enter the periodontal ligament
space and function without injuring
surrounding tissue, periotomes must be
thin but not sharp. This limited sharpness
sometimes requires strong pressure to
sever the elastic ligament, frequently
causing iatrogenic damage, destructive
bending of thin instrument blades, and
hand fatigue. Laschal Extended
Flexibility (+/- 10 degrees) Micro-
serrated Periotomes provide maximal flex
with limited rigidity to locate the most
convenient insertion path. Periotomes
operate ergonomically with a vertical
“sawing” motion that cuts PDLs more
efficiently and with less force. Set includes
one MSP-1XXF and one MSP-2XXF
periotome. Lightweight 3/8" diameter
hollow handles reduce hand fatigue and
